A Senior Community Employment Service Program (SCESP), known as Title V, is a community and work-based training program for mature workers. Authorized by Congress in Title V of the Older Americans Act of 1965, this program provides subsidized, part-time, community service work based training for limited-income persons aged 55 or older in order to increase employment prospects. Through this program, older workers have access to the Senior Community Services Employment Program services as well as other employment assistance available through the One-Stop Career Centers of the Workforce Investment Act.
