School Age Programs - Newtown Extended Morning Program
NEWTOWN STAFF DEVELOPMENT – SCHOOL DELAYS
Newtown Public Schools has scheduled four 2-hour delayed openings for the 2016-17 school year:
Friday, October 7th, 2016 Friday, February 3rd, 2017 Wednesday, April 5th, 2017 Friday, May 19th, 2017
EdAdvance School Age Programs will offer an extended-morning program at our current program sites, Middle Gate Elementary, Hawley Elementary, and Sandy Hook Elementary schools, for those families that may require care on just these 4 days. You will need to enroll and pay in advance for all 4 days. District busing will be provided from the Hawley program site to Head O’Meadow Elementary and Reed Intermediate Schools at the start of the school day.
Open to ALL Newtown elementary and Reed Intermediate students.
(Current School Age Programs-BASES families, if your child is already registered for Friday and Wednesday mornings you will automatically be enrolled and billed for these extended mornings.)
- OPTION 1: Full Program 7:00 am-11:00 am BASES Before School AND Extended Morning Program is $114.00 for all 4 mornings (includes a light breakfast)
- OPTION 2: Morning Program 9:00 am-11:00 am BASES Before School Program is $66.00 for all 4 mornings
- OPTION 3: Extended Morning 7:00 am - 9:00 am for CURRENTLY ENROLLED WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY MORNING STUDENTS is $48.00 for all 4 mornings
- $15.00 Non-refundable Registration Fee (NO fee for Registered EdAdvance School Age Programs-BASES families)
(All fees are non-refundable and there will be no reimbursements due to illness, absence or cancelation of enrollment.)

Our School Age Programs–BASES (Before & After school Enrichment Services) provide state-licensed programs for children of elementary and middle school age. On-site before and after school programs offer a variety of enriching, quality experiences and parents have peace of mind knowing their children receive quality, affordable care.
Registration is on a first come, first serve basis.
Operation is contingent on the number of students enrolled.
