Blue Science is an innovative, high-interest approach to teaching about indicators of climate change, climate change adaptation and overall environmental health within the Housatonic Watershed and at Long Island Sound.  Blue Science uses local habitats within the watershed and western end of Long Island Sound at Milford Point as its science classroom in nature, or hands-on laboratory, for studying true local environmental issues that impact the watershed and coastal ecosystems.  The project extends the study area to include school grounds and nearby school grounds for schoolyard science.  Currently, middle schools from Danbury and New Milford participate in Blue Science.
