Immigration Nation is an academic enrichment program for 5th grade students from Bethel, Canaan, Colebrook, Danbury, Litchfield, and North Canaan that focuses on the significant contributions of immigrant groups to American culture over time. Students explore and investigate history through literature, writing, and the arts and use oral histories as a tool for learning about people, places and events. Students will learn first-hand that diversity in the U.S.A. is a result of the immigration of peoples from all around the globe.
