Foothills Adult & Continuing Education offers career opportunities through certification and certificate Courses including:
Certified Nurse Aide (Certified Nursing Assistant) Training — a 100-hour CNA program that consists of 52 hours of classroom time and 48 hours of clinical training. Completion qualifies participants for the state certification exam.
Food Handler's Certification Program — Participants desiring to become a Certified Food Manager for schools, businesses, or restaurants will be eligible to take the online examination recognized by the National Restaurant Association. This certification is likely to result in better job performance and higher wages.
CPR/First Aid — This two-session course provides training and certification in the American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED programs. Adult, Child, and infant CPR requirements will be covered.
Para-Professional Assessment — This assessment is available for individuals seeking employment as a para-professional in school districts who do not have an Associate’s Degree or two years of college. The assessment measures knowledge of, and the ability to assist in, the instruction of reading, writing, and mathematics.
