Eileen Costello honored at the 26th Annual Dr. Robert C. & Nancy Joy Luncheon

Eileen Costello, Danbury School Readiness Coordinator, was honored on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at the 26th Annual Dr. Robert C. & Nancy Joy Luncheon.

This spring event hosted by Families Network of Western CT, Inc. celebrates partnerships for the prevention of child abuse and honors those who make a difference for Danbury's children.

Eileen has a robust history of supporting the Danbury community. Since 1999, Eileen has been the state liaison for Danbury School Readiness, working at EdAdvance, where she oversees programs funded by School Readiness to provide high-quality, affordable care for families, improve program quality, reach underserved populations, and offer professional development. School Readiness annually serves 425 children in 35 classrooms across 10 sites in Greater Danbury and offers 40 hours of professional development opportunities a year for teachers.

Eileen also organizes the "One Book, One Community" event in Danbury for parents, early childhood educators, family childcare, relative caregivers, and kindergarten teachers, engaging over 225 participants last year. This collaboration includes Danbury Library and EdAdvance.
